<h4 class="subsection">8.5.5 Partition Runtime Parameters</h4>

<p>You can adjust some parameters of your DSA applications using the PolyORB
configuration file, <samp>polyorb.conf</samp>. The parameters relevant to the
Ada Distributed Systems Annex are specified in the <code>[dsa]</code> section.

runtime configuration facilities.

<dt><code>name_service = [IOR/corbaloc]</code></dt>
<dd><p>You can set this parameter instead of the environment variable
<code>POLYORB_DSA_NAME_SERVICE</code>.
Though if you use a Starter, ensure that this parameter is set for
all the partitions, as this is not done automatically as for the
<code>POLYORB_DSA_NAME_SERVICE</code> environment variable.

<dt><code>max_failed_requests = [integer]</code></dt>
<dd><p>Each partition will attempt a given number of requests to the
name server before failing. This allows some time for every
partition to register in the name server.

<dt><code>delay_between_failed_requests = [duration in milliseconds]</code></dt>
<dd><p>As above, only this specifies the delay between requests.
</p>
</dd>
<dt><code>termination_initiator = [true/false]</code></dt>
<dd><p>Is this partition a termination initiator.
</p>
</dd>
<dt><code>termination_policy = [global_termination/deferred_termination/local_termination]</code></dt>
<dd><p>The termination policy for this partition.
</p>
</dd>
<dt><code>tm_time_between_waves = [duration in milliseconds]</code></dt>
<dd><p>The delay between termination waves.
</p>
</dd>
<dt><code>tm_time_before_start = [duration in milliseconds]</code></dt>
<dd><p>The delay before the termination manager starts sending waves.
</p>
</dd>
<dt><code>detach = [true/false]</code></dt>
<dd><p>If true, the partition will be detached.
</p>
</dd>
<dt><code>rsh_options = [string]</code></dt>
<dd><p>Options passed to the rsh command when using the module
polyorb.dsa_p-remote_launch
</p>
</dd>
<dt><code>rsh_command = [string]</code></dt>
<dd><p>Which command should the module polyorb.dsa_p-remote_launch
use to spawn remote programs.
