------------------------
Starting with version 1.15.8, dpkg supports --path-include and
--path-exclude options to filter files out of packages during
unpacking. Thus localepurge (since 0.7.0) now has the option to
generate a dpkg configuration file to exclude locale specific
documentation for various packages.
This new feature comes with a number of advantages and disadvantages.
The pros are:
 * It is supported by dpkg.
   - And not some script rm'ing "random files".
 * Less I/O and less space used during the upgrades.
   - dpkg filters at unpackage time rather than after the files
     have been installed.
Noticable cons are:
 * It cannot be used to purge locale files from already installed
   packages.
   - Though it will be fixed on next upgrade (or reinstall) of the
     packages.
 * dpkg may sometimes keep a symlink that has been requested for
   removal. (Seen in dpkg 1.16.2)
   - Please refer to dpkg(1) for more information.
     (see the --path-exclude option)
 * Certain features of localepurge cannot/will not be supported
with this approach. These features cannot be used while the
   dpkg approach is in place.
   - Verbose lising of files being removed.
   - Display of free space reclaimed by localepurge.
   - Warn/Keep of "new locales". The dpkg approach will only keep
exactly the locales you requested and nothing more.
