<p>Shows how to use <a href="qqmlengine.html#qmlRegisterExtendedType">qmlRegisterExtendedType()</a> to provide an <a href="qtqml-cppintegration-definetypes.html#registering-extension-objects">extension object</a> to a <a href="../qtwidgets/qlineedit.html">QLineEdit</a> without modifying or subclassing it.</p>
<p>Firstly, the LineEditExtension class is registered with the QML system as an extension of <a href="../qtwidgets/qlineedit.html">QLineEdit</a>:</p>
