<p>The <code>pam</code> statement configures <acronym>PAM</acronym> authentication. It
contains a single sub-statement:

<dd><p>Define service name to look for in <acronym>PAM</acronym> configuration. By
default, the base name of the Mailutils binary is used.

<p>This statement takes effect only if ‘<samp>pam</samp>’ is listed in
<code>authentication</code> statement (see <a href="Auth-Statement.html#Auth-Statement">Auth Statement</a>).
