<p>The SSLIOP protocol provides transport layer security for transmitted
requests. Its provides encryption of GIOP requests.
</p>
<p>To build the SSLIOP, it is required to activate SSL-related features
when building PolyORB. See <samp>--with-openssl</samp> in <a href="Installation.html#Installation">Installation</a> for more details.
</p>
<p>Enabling security is completely transparent to a preexisting
application, it is also possible to phase in secure communications by
allowing incoming requests which are unsecured.
